 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • A private jet charter, private jet rental or private plane rental is when you pay a licensed private jet charter operator to to fly you and a set number of guests on a private aircraft - typically either a jet or exterior-propeller configuration. The cost of the plane charter / plane rental usually covers the entire aircraft giving you full access to all seats and ammenities.

  • When you charter a private jet, your cost typically pays for the whole jet and all of the seats. The total cost of a private jet charter varies but it is primarily made up of the hourly rate for the private jet model selected, the total time in flight including any repositioning flight time required and fees such as airport landing, customs or regulate surcharges.

  • A Jet Card is a paid-for program that gives users access to a range of jet aircraft and an agreed-to hourly rate. Programs vary, but typically jet card programs have high buy-in rates plus higher than average direct-to-operator charter rates. In return, users can have faster access to multiple planes and avoid handling jet charter contracts themselves.

Current jet card membership rates, such as those from Delta Private, XOJet, NetJet, Nicholas Air or Wheels Up, range from $10,000 to more than $30,000 and have a starting flight hour rates of $5,000.

Aero Air Charter does not require a jet card membership. You can be wheels-up in under 2 hours on one of our private jets or we can find you another one that can suit your needs without any up-front membership costs.

  • Private plane charters or private plane rentals can come in many flavors, but typically you are looking at either a jet or a turbo-prop variety. Many smaller charter operators utilize single-pilot turbo-prop planes like the King Air B200. These external propeller-based planes are great for island hopping or short distances, but jets are able to fly up to 66% faster and 30% higher. This equates to a smoother, more comfortable ride that gets you there quicker and for a similar cost.

Aero Air Charter owns, maintains and flies our own jets. We also have two pilots on every flight. This ensures we provide the safest, most comfortable rides possible.

As our former Navy pilots like to say "props are for boats." And they would know!

  • Private jet charter brokers act as a middle-man between fliers and licensed jet charter operators. They help fliers shop for the best prices and ensure all logistics are taken care of.

You can buy into a private jet card program or membership club like Delta Private, Wheels Up or XOJet, or you can commission an independent broker to help you plan your trip.

Aero Air Charter works with all private jet charter brokers to provide them and their customers with the best flying experience and rates.
